Decent Work and the City
Decent work and the city is a four-year project looking at labour markets in different cities across the world. The research is headed up by Dr Mathew Johnson working alongside Eva Herman and is funded through the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship scheme.
The project will compare decent work initiatives in six cities - Manchester, Bremen, Montreal, New York, Seoul and Buenos Aires – and explore how the restructuring and upgrading of urban labour markets can contribute to broader patterns of equality, inclusion and social justice.
